The walks will take place in the beautiful Pang Valley in Berkshire.The River Pang is one of the cleanest chalk rivers in the Thames Basin and supports a variety of plant and animal life. The whole area is a patchwork of woodland copses and small meadows and is said to have inspired Kenneth Grahame to write the children's classic <I>Wind in the Willows. </I>The starting point is about 45 minutes drive from Oxford and we advise car sharing if possible. The walks will finish with a cup of tea at the Black Barn and there will be a charge of £2 a person. A circular walk (approx. 4 miles) in the Pang valley. Meet at the Black Barn at 2.00 pm. The Black Barn at Rushall Manor Farm is situated off Back Lane between Stanford Dingley and Bradfield. Take the gravel track north off Back Lane to the west of Scratchface Lane.
