Exhibitions at the "Climate Change: How Christians Respond" conference
The following ten individuals, organisations and groups presented exhibitions at the conference:

A Rocha stand
1) A Rocha - Christians in Conservation. - A display of A Rocha's practical conservation projects around the world - from Southall to South Africa, with ideas and resources for local action and involvement. The Hope for the Planet meeting advertised at our conference has now been re-scheduled for 24th November 2005.
2) Christian Concern for One World (CCOW) had a small literature stand in the area where their presentation took place. See also Global Costs, Global Solutions Workshop





Christian Ecology Link3) Christian Ecology Link runs Operation Noah, the churches' climate change campaign.  Operation Noah is a project of the Environmental Issues Network of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.









Climateprediction.net4) Climateprediction.net scientists from Oxford University gave a demonstration of their experiment that you can help with by running it on your computer! See also the article by Sylvia Knight on this project in Sage Words September 2004






EcoCongregation5) Ecocongregation had a display giving brief details about the project generally, and also basic information leaflets about Eco-congregation and copies of modules for people to look at and take away if they would like. See also Ecocongregation Workshop

6) The John Ray Initiative stall had brochures describing JRI, the JRI Associates programme, and the CRES course, together with a selection of JRI briefing papers. They also had details of their ESSAY PRIZE competition. You do not need to have come to the conference to enter, so why not have a go! The word limit is 2500 words. Deadline 1st June 2005.


Sage stand7) Sage- Oxford's Christian Environmental Group, had a display showing Sage activities in the local area, and lots of copies of Sage Words
8) St. Andrew's Bookshop brought a stall of relevant Christian environmental books. They sold around £600 worth of books, including lots of SHARING GOD'S PLANET by Claire Foster.







TVEC stand9) Thames Valley Energy Centre encouraged householders to conserve energy by offering advice and access to energy saving grants and initiatives to help reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. See also Energy Essentials PowerPoint









Children Cherish the Planet10) Children cherish the planet Emily Wilkins provided a display of work from Oxfordshire schools showing the ways in which children respond to the importance of care for the natural environment (linked to the EcoSchools scheme) and their explorations of how its value in religious faith traditions provides motivation for that care. This work will form part of Emily's submission for her dissertation on the CRES course.
