Workshops at the "Climate Change: How Christians Respond" conference
There were seven workshops at the conference and everyone had the opportunity to attend two. We have gathered materials and reports from these and present them on this page:
A. Dave Bookless of A Rocha UK on `Attitudes and actions to help us live more with less.' Report now available at Simple Lifestyle
The Hope for the Planet meeting advertised at our conference has now been re-scheduled for 24th November 2005.
D. Energy Essentials: Annie Batten and Tom Whitehead from Thames Valley Energy Centre spoke on all aspects of energy, how it affects our lives, and how to use it better. They particularly concentrated on housing issues. Annie has now sent us her PowerPoint slides for you to download at Energy Essentials PowerPoint
E. Rural Idyll: Rev Glyn Evans asked `How can rural living be more sustainable? And what are the issues of sustainability in modern food production and farming?' Report now available at Rural Idyll Workshop
G. Going Lightly: Ian James, Diocesan Environment Officer, helped us to think about the costs of transport in terms of climate change, from electric cars to budget jets. With practical tips on reducing our carbon emissions. Ian has now sent us his PowerPoint slides for you to download at Going Lightly PowerPoint
