Walk with the Creator
The aim of these walks is to combine the enjoyment of walking in the countryside with a reflection on the ways God reveals Himself through His creation. Some reports and pictures of previous walks can be found at Walk with the Creator- 2001 and Walk with the Creator- 2004/5 A new series is about to begin in July 2005:

Exploring Oxford's Countryside

The aim of this series of “Walk with the Creator” is to explore some of Oxford's most special places of countryside.
Each walk has a theme, based on a verse from the Bible.  The Bible is rich in its appreciation of nature-many of the poetic writings in the Old Testament use nature as symbols for different concepts or spiritual principles.  In the New Testament, Jesus especially had an acute awareness of the wonder, beauty and meaning of creation and used nature in his parables and teachings.  As Alice Parmalee writes in her splendid book `All the Birds of the Bible', “all nature was to Him a finger pointing to God”.
All the walks will be between 2 and 3 miles and will take about 1½ hours.
After the walk there will be the option of going to St Clement's, Oxford for refreshments and a time of reflection on the afternoon walk. There is no booking fee but a donation to cover the cost of printing, materials and refreshments would be appreciated.
Please ring or email Caroline Steel to BOOK a place.  Numbers are limited to 25 people per walk. Transport can be arranged if needed. Telephone: 01865 432600 Email: Caroline Steel
